Frank Sinatra or America's Golden Age
In an age of glamour and ambition, one voice came to embody the American dream. This insightful documentary charts Frank Sinatra’s rise through the 1950s and 60s, as his stardom soared in rhythm with a confident, postwar USA. A bold graphic style animates rarely seen archives, drawn from America’s most prestigious collections. Restored performances transport viewers from smoky New York jazz clubs to the neon shimmer of Las Vegas and sunlit cool of Palm Springs, where Sinatra’s fame intersected with politics, power, and whispered associations. While his image gleamed, deeper fractures emerged. The weight of myth, personal demons, and alleged underworld ties converge in this vivid portrait of a star and a nation, both captivated by power, haunted by truth, and forever changed by time.
